How to Put Someone on ICE |
|
1 - Determine your most relevant contacts incase of an emergency such people may include:
-
Parents
-
Husband/Wife
-
Siblings
-
Neighbors
2 - Inform your ICE contacts that you are putting them down as your person of contact.
Provide your ICE contacts with the any relevant information regarding your medical history, medications, and allergies, anything that may make a difference in the treatment you may receive.
3 - When they agree, simply place the text entry "ICE" in your cell phone contacts list.
Example:
ICE Brother (area code/telephone number)
4 - If you have more than one ICE contact number the text entry to allow personnel to call who you would prefer to be called first. (Some People are able to deal with emergencies better than others.)
Example:
ICE1 brother (area code/ telephone number)
ICE2 Parents (area code/ telephone number)
5 - If you are under the age of eighteen, make sure that your ICE contact is apparent or legal guardian that is authorized to make decisions for you.
