Smoke and carbon monoxide detection

Inspections for Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors

The Orleans Fire Department fire prevention division provides inspections for smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors for all new homes that are constructed, existing homes that are sold and any homes that have had significant remodeling.

Massachusetts General Law Chapter 148, Section 26F and 26F ½ requires that all resale of property transactions be issued a Certificate of Compliance by the local fire department.
